If PCs are Windows 98 SE or later and have USB ports everyone could get
a USB flash drive of an appropriate size. Prices are coming down all the
time and my 128 meg is sufficient but they go up to 2gig I believe. I
keep working copies of websites hanging around my neck at all times so I
can demonstrate what it all looks like wherever I am on other peoples
computers without lugging a laptop around.
If you need more space you can get USB or removeable hard drives which
you could keep under lock and key except when those with data on them
want to use them.
If computers are networked it should be simple to set up a number of
password accessible partitions or folders which different people can
accces with different log ins.

>>
>> Plus These questions were posed to me:
>> How long are you going to store them for?
>> How are you going to prove what belongs to who and who has the right to
>> see or demand they are restored?
>> How are you going to know what file names are and where they were saved.
>> After backing up how long are you going to keep backups?
>> When the server becomes full how will you determine what is archived and
>> for how long?
>> If you use passwords on documents (and you can only use them on office
>> documents) and they are forgotten there is no way of resetting the
>> password so the files are lost.
