hello all [apols for cross-posting]

does anyone know of any project, anywhere in the world, which is
attempting to create - or has created - a high quality search tool
which only searches a specified set of sites?

eg I think there's one which searches for legal information across
about 300 UK legal info sites - not sure what it is tho'

I'd be especially interested if anyone's done it for information in a
specific geographic location because we're doing one for sites
in/about brighton + hove and want some examples to review before
deciding exactly how to do it [if we can find them]

also welcome info from anyone who'd be interested in pitching for the
work to build the search engine [please provide name and contact
details - hope to issue docs sometime in Sept/Oct]

thanks

mark
